We offer a truly unique glamping experience, perfect for
exploring the beautiful Suffolk Coast.

From the lovely seaside town of Aldeburgh to Framlingham’s ‘Castle on the Hill’ made famous by Ed Sheeran – there’s so much to explore and right from your doorstep. Whether it’s a romantic weekend away or a relaxed family break, Timber Yard Glamping is the perfect backdrop to your holiday.

Our hand-crafted glamping pod is beautifully dressed and finished to a high standard. Inside you have two standard double bunk beds sleeping up to four people. The top bunk has an east facing window overlooking the garden and the bottom bunk is a child’s ‘secret hideaway’ dream! All your bedding and blankets are provided; we even provide a blanket especially for your four-legged friend! Fully insulated and heated; the pod is a cosy snug during the colder months and during the summer; the window, stable door and electric fan provide a beautiful breeze. Every little detail has been thought of from plenty of storage for your clothes to umbrellas to shield you from the rain; it really is the perfect little hideaway

The 5 metre bell tent is a unique addition to your stay providing another room for up to four people to sleep or a beautiful chill out area. Sumptuous textures, rugs and fairy lights make this bell tent a romantic’s dream. Inside the tent there is one double bed with space for two additional single airbeds. All the bedding, blankets and hot water bottles are provided to keep you warm on the chillier nights. With no electricity to the tent, it’s an opportunity to truly switch off from the world. It’s camping with an added touch of luxury.

You pod has a fully fitted kitchen which has everything you need to cook up a storm on the BBQ. You have your own fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and a cold-water sink plus all the essential culinary equipment you will need.  We can also provide a range of hampers for your stay from the basics right up to a celebration hamper which is another tick off the ‘must pack’ list. Or maybe you want a break from cooking altogether? Not a problem, the local area boasts some fantastic gastro pubs and restaurants which we can highly recommend.

There are no shared facilities at Timber Yard Glamping so you can be safe in the knowledge that the bathroom is for you and only you. A short walk down a wood chip path will lead you to your brand new and immaculately clean bathroom. It may be compact but that is the only compromise you’ll be making with a fully flushing toilet (oh yes!) a hot and powerful shower, mirror, hot water sink and small cupboard to store your essentials. Toilet rolls, hand wash and hand towels are all provided during your stay. Bath towels are available to hire.

Our 10 metre square garden is a fantastic private social space for you to enjoy with seven magnificent fir trees creating a real woodland retreat feel. The lawned garden is blessed with beautiful views of the countryside and is the perfect spot to watch our magnificent Suffolk sunsets, all of this is fenced off with a lockable gate meaning both the kids and the dog can play freely and safely. You’ll also find your own BBQ and tools – we sell charcoal and lighters or feel free to bring your own. All you need now is the sausages and a nice cold beer or glass of wine! Fancy a herby marinade for your BBQ or some fresh mint for your salad? Help yourself to your own fresh herb garden next to the Pod – rosemary, mint, tarragon, you name it, your garden has it.

Anyone else’s Mum pack a whole supermarket in the car when you go away? Mine certainly did while telling us it’s ‘just in case’ as if we were heading to outer Mongolia! Well, have no fear, the beauty of our location is that you have the best of both worlds; beautiful scenery and direct access to everything you need including food. Supermarkets are within a 15 min drive or there are plenty of beautiful little farm shops if you want to support the smaller business. Or why not buy fresh produce directly from your hosts! Have you ever had home grown corn on the cob? It’s a must! (Seasonal and subject to availability).

Timber Yard Glamping is a dog’s dream with everything they could wish for and more. We provide dog treats, blankets, dog bowels, poo bags and even a towel especially for them. The pod and bell tent are fenced off with a lockable gate so your furry friend can explore freely. There’s lots of local dog friendly beaches and woodlands where they can run off the lead and burn off some energy before returning ‘home’ for a well-deserved dog treat in front of the fire.  There’s also plenty of local pubs and cafes which welcome dogs including the Grundisburgh Dog which won Dog Friendly Pub of the year in 2019!

In our eyes, glamping isn’t glamping without a fire pit and with many sites refusing to have them, it will definitely be a highlight of your stay. Handcrafted by a good friend of ours, your firepit sits within your own private seating area with a 180-view of the Suffolk Countryside. Logs can be bought directly from us or feel free to bring your own. Grab a glass of wine, toast some marshmallows and watch the sun set around the fire. Heaven.

We are in a rural location with countryside around. However, we are positioned on an A-road and guests should expect road noise at busier times of the day.If you’re looking for glamping in the middle of nowhere, then maybe we’re not the right place for you. If, however, you’re looking for somewhere that can offer both beauty and great access to all the main must-see places, then look no further.
